Görkem Suner has graduated from the faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. He also holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (M.S.M.E.) degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Salisbury University.
He started his career as a research assistant at the faculty of engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He also worked as a design engineer and a project manager in the industrial refrigeration business sector in the United States of America.
He worked at different management levels at Arcelik Global A.S. for over 13 years, as production manager, production group manager, and factory general manager (in the Republic of South Africa as an expatriate).
Before joining Alapala Group in 2019, he worked as a senior director and the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Whirlpool Group in Turkey.
