Another Award for Alapala…

Alapala was awarded the second prize among many leading brands that participated in the 2013 Anatolian Brands Contest organized by Capital and Ekonomist Journals and Türkiye Finans Katılım Bankası (Turkey’s Finance Participation Bank)

Mustafa Boydak, President of the Board of Directors of Türkiye Finans, Derya Gürerk, General Manager of Türkiye Finans, and M. Rauf Ateş, Publishing Director of Capital and Ekonomist Journals, participated in the award ceremony, which was also the seventh anniversary of the Anatolian Brands Contest.  The ceremony took place at the Istanbul Conrad Hotel, where locomotives of the economy were awarded.

At the award ceremony, where the leading names of the business community and Anatolian economy gathered together, the first prize was awarded to Odak Kozmetik from Eskişehir in the category of Big Businesses Trade. The first prize in the category of Food-Agriculture was awarded to Dardanel from Çanakkale and the first prize in the category of Manufacture was awarded to Inci Akü from Manisa. Alapala Makine was granted the second prize in the category of Manufacture subsequent to Inci Akü. Görkem Alapala, a member of the Board of Directors, received the award on behalf of Alapala.

Derya Gürerk, General Manager of Türkiye Finans, stated that they have been supporting the Anatolian Brands Contest since last year and they were delighted to be joining companies from all over Turkey in sharing their branding stories. Gürerk said that Türkiye Finans’s Anatolian Brands project corresponds fully with its mission of supporting local economy, and she added the following: “Branding has a great strategic importance. With this knowledge, companies put investment in their brands at the forefront of their strategic goals. Therefore, companies of our country take important steps for branding in order to compete with the world’s leading brands. As a result of these steps, both our brands and our country continues to progress in the development process. The companies, which complete their branding process, are one-step ahead of the others in dealing with economical crisis, and thus, they are confident that they will be able to act innovatively and dynamically. In this context, the Anatolian Brands Contest provides a great opportunity for the companies who wish to become a world brand. We have been providing finance for the companies in the field of branding since we were established. We are in cooperation with the Chambers of Industry and Commerce in this regard. Our support for Anatolian companies continues uninterruptedly.”

In the Anatolian Brands Contest, the jury who assessed the companies included Derya Gürerk, General Manager of Türkiye Finans, M. Rauf Ateş, Publishing Director of Capital and Ekonomist Journals, Talat Yeşiloğlu, Publishing Director of Ekonomist Journal, Mustafa Yaşar Tınar, General Secretary of ESIAD, Hilmi Develi, member of TOSYÖV, Barış Tan, academician at Koç University, Fatoş Karahasan, academician at Bilgi University, and Prof. Dr. Lerzan Aksoy from Fordham University Business School New York.
